Commuter Book Policies
Commuter books are discounted books of ten one-way tickets. They're our way of rewarding loyal customers who fly with us ten or more times per year. The following policies apply to all commuter book purchases:
Commuter book fares expire one year from the date of purchase.
This includes both paper books and tickets stored in our electronic ticketing system.
Note: Commuter book tickets purchased on or after 7/1/12 expire one year from date of purchase and may be upgraded for a charge equal to the difference between the value of the ticket at the original time of purchase and current one-way adult rates.
Commuter books are non-refundable.
Island Airlines cannot issue refunds for unused commuter book tickets, however, tickets are transferable. Feel free to share your tickets with family members or friends.
Island Airlines is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.
We cannot issue replacements for paper tickets that are lost, stolen or destroyed. As an alternative to paper ticket books, we strongly encourage customers to take advantage of our complimentary electronic ticketing service. Tickets stored in our e-ticket system can be claimed at either terminal when you check in for your flight.
White Commuter Book Notice
We at Island Airlines value those loyal customers who purchase commuter books. In this regard, we have reexamined our policy of enacting expiration dates on all commuter books purchased prior to 7/1/12, that did not have a specific expiration date (white tickets).
Instead, we will honor ALL of those tickets indefinitely to better serve those customers who have been with us the longest.
Commuter books are non-refundable. Island Airlines is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. To avoid lost tickets, we strongly encourage customers to use our paperless electronic will-call system. Island Airlines reserves the right not to honor counterfeit or trafficked (resold) commuter book tickets including white tickets. Nor will it honor tickets beyond any specific expiration date stated on the ticket or the related commuter book.
